And here’s what we’ve found: there are usually three answers. Three levels of reasons. And each one has a huge impact on how you show up, how you stick with it, and the results you see.

Level 1: The Surface-Level Reason

Most people start here.
👉 “I want to lose weight.”
👉 “I want to look better in my clothes.”
👉 “I want to fit back into those jeans.”

It’s real. It’s honest. But it doesn’t last. Because it’s easy to lose motivation when the scale doesn’t budge as fast as you’d like, or when you realize it takes more than a few weeks of sweat to see big changes.

Level 2: The Health and Energy Reason

The next level goes deeper.
👉 “I want to feel better.”
👉 “I want to keep up with my kids, or have more energy at work.”
👉 “I want to avoid the aches and pains that come from sitting all day.”

This reason has more staying power. It’s about how you feel, not just how you look. It’s about living life with less pain and more energy. And for a lot of people, this is where real consistency starts to show up.

Level 3: The Identity and Legacy Reason

Then there’s the third level. And this one? This is the game changer.

👉 “I’m here to build a version of myself that can handle anything life throws at me.”
👉 “I’m here because I want to be strong, capable, and confident – not just now, but for decades.”
👉 “I’m investing in my future health, my future self, and the kind of life I want to lead.”

This reason isn’t about abs or the number on the scale. It’s about who you want to be. It’s about showing up today for the person you want to be in five, ten, or twenty years. And when you find this reason, everything changes.

Here’s the truth: all three reasons are real. And all three matter at different points in your journey.
